正面描述	Central device depicts an open book whose pages bear a detailed panoramic view of the village of Montolieu, rendered in fine relief. Two Occitan crosses (croix occitanes) flank the central motif in the left and right fields. The legend VILLAGE DU LIVRE arcs across the upper periphery, while MONTOLIEU is inscribed along the lower periphery. The engraver's name C. CARDOT appears in small letters within the upper portion of the book design.
