| 背面描述 | The large numeral 5 dominates the central field, rendered in a bold decorative style with a stylized serif. Below it, the denomination ECU is inscribed in capitals. The circular legend XIVe JOURNEE NUMISMATIQUE REGIONALE runs along the upper periphery, while the date 30 OCTOBRE 1994 appears along the lower periphery. Two five-pointed stars flank the denomination on either side at mid-field, and the design is unframed within a plain edge. |

The Cercle Numismatique de Colmar issued this piece as a local trade token during the early 1990s wave of French numismatic club écu-denominated issues — a short-lived phenomenon that briefly flourished before the European Commission moved to restrict private écu coinage ahead of the Maastricht Treaty's implementation. Colmar, capital of Haut-Rhin, had a particular claim on such issues given Alsace's historically contested monetary identity between French and Germanic systems.
