Obverse description Central device features the Czechoslovak coat of arms — a quartered shield with the double-tailed lion — flanked by laurel branches, with the dates 1918-1928 inscribed above the shield. In the upper register, Saint Wenceslas stands in high relief, raising one hand in benediction and holding a banner, flanked by mounted knights on horseback; the designer's signature O. ŠPANIEL appears at the bottom.

Reverse description Within a beaded diamond-shaped inner border set on point, a multi-figure allegorical scene depicts Saint Wenceslas driving a plow pulled by a crouching devil in the foreground, a medieval miner ascending from a mine shaft via ladder and holding an oil lamp in the middle ground, and mining machinery with a barren tree to the right. The legend is distributed along the four sides of the diamond border reading outward into the round field.
