Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Leopold I facing right, set within a beaded inner circle. The imperial effigy is rendered in high relief with elaborate armored drapery characteristic of Baroque portraiture. The Latin legend, commencing at 12 o'clock, encircles the bust and reads LEOPOLDVS D G RO IM SE AV GE HV ET BO REX, citing his titles as Holy Roman Emperor and King of Bohemia and Hungary.
