Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Leopold I facing right, with long flowing curled hair, set within a beaded inner circle. The emperor is depicted in armour with a mantle, rendered in fine baroque style with strong relief. The surrounding legend reads LEOPOLDVS DG ROM IMP SEM AV GE HV BO REX, separated by dot stops, running clockwise between the inner beaded circle and the milled outer rim.

Reverse description Crowned double-headed imperial eagle displayed in high relief, with wings spread, each head facing outward, surmounted by a single imperial crown above. The eagle bears on its breast an escutcheon with the quartered arms of Austria-Burgundy. The date 1684 appears divided at the top of the inner field, flanking the crown, with the mint signature (SHS) for Breslau appearing in the lower field below the eagle's tail. The circumferential Latin legend ARCHDVX AVS DUX BVRG E SIL runs between the beaded inner circle and the milled outer border.
