Obverse description Armored bust of Elector John George III facing right, wearing elaborately decorated plate armor with a sword belt crossing the chest diagonally. The hair is shown in long flowing curls characteristic of the late 17th-century baroque style. A circular beaded inner border frames the effigy, with a Latin legend running around the periphery identifying the ruler by name and title.
