Obverse description Laureate bust of Ferdinand II facing right, wearing a ruffled collar, contained within an inner circle; the truncation of the bust extends to the rim of the coin. The effigy is rendered in a robust baroque style typical of early seventeenth-century Habsburg portraiture. A continuous Latin legend surrounds the bust within the outer field.
