Obverse description Draped bust of Charles III Joseph of Lorraine facing right, wearing elaborate clerical and secular robes richly engraved with decorative foliate and armorial detail, his long curling wig falling over his shoulders in the Baroque manner. The effigy occupies the majority of the field, rendered with fine high-relief engraving characteristic of early 18th-century Austrian workshop production. A beaded inner border separates the portrait from the surrounding circular Latin legend. The circumferential legend reads DEI GRATIA CAROLUS EPISCOPUS OLOMUCENSIS, distributed around the full perimeter between the beaded and toothed outer borders.
