| Reverse description | Elaborate quartered coat of arms of Charles III Joseph of Lorraine, displayed on an oval shield at center, incorporating the arms of Lorraine, Bar, and the bishopric of Olomouc, surmounted by a princely crown. The shield is set upon an eight-pointed cross, with two heraldic supporters — a lion and an eagle — flanking the central device in the upper field. The composition is richly engraved in high Baroque style with scrollwork and mantling. The date 1707 appears in the upper left field, and the circumferential Latin legend, divided around the perimeter between beaded and toothed borders, records the issuer's full secular titles. |

| Additional information |
Charles III Joseph of Lorraine was appointed Prince-Bishop of Olomouc in 1695 at the age of twelve — a nakedly political appointment by the Habsburgs to consolidate Lorraine dynastic influence within the Moravian church hierarchy. By 1707, the War of the Spanish Succession was draining imperial finances severely, and high-denomination gold multiples from ecclesiastical mints like Olomouc functioned primarily as presentation pieces and diplomatic gifts rather than instruments of trade.
KM#380 is among the scarcer of the Olomouc gold issues, with surviving examples appearing infrequently at auction.
