Obverse description The coat of arms of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic occupies the central field, depicting a crowned eagle with spread wings over a radiant sunburst, with a quartered shield on the eagle's breast bearing traditional Armenian symbols. The design is rendered in high relief with fine detail. A circular legend in Latin reads 'NAGORNO-KARABAKH' along the upper arc and 'REPUBLIC' along the lower arc, with Armenian script 'ԼԵՌՆԱՅԻՆ ՂԱՐԱԲԱՂԻ ՀԱՆՐԱՊԵՏՈՒԹՅՈՒՆ' and the name 'ԱՐՑԱԽ' flanking the arms in the inner legend band.
