The mantle behind the supporters is draped with ermine-lined robes gathered beneath the crown and festooned with decorative scrollwork at the base. The legend ΚΡΗΤΙΚΗ ΠΟΛΙΤΕΙΑ arcs around the upper field, divided left and right of the crown, while the denomination 5 ΔΡΑΧΜΑΙ is inscribed in the lower exergue. A beaded inner rim frames the entire composition. |
