| Obverse description | Draped and mantled bust of Paolo Besso Ferrero-Fieschi facing left, with long flowing hair and a pointed beard, wearing elaborately decorated armour with a lace collar. The effigy is rendered in the Baroque style with fine detail in the mantle and armour. The circular Latin legend runs along the outer border within a beaded inner ring, with the date 1638 positioned behind the shoulder at the right of the field. |
