| Beschrijving voorzijde | The Liberian coat of arms is depicted at center, featuring a shield with a sailing ship above the sea, a dove, and a plow, supported by two palm trees and accompanied by a scroll bearing the national motto. The circular legend 'REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA' and 'THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE' surrounds the arms in two concentric bands. The word 'MILLENNIUM' is inscribed in large raised letters around the outer rim, reading clockwise. The date '2000' appears in the lower field below the central device. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Liberia's late-1990s and early-2000s commemorative output was largely contracted through foreign minting houses — primarily in South Korea and China — and sold directly into the collector market rather than through any genuine domestic circulation. The Year of the Rat issue is squarely part of that program, which exploited Liberia's liberal licensing arrangements to produce themed coins with essentially no connection to Liberian monetary history.
