| Obverse description | The Barbados Coat of Arms is depicted centrally on the obverse face of the spherical coin, rendered in antique silver tones against a colored blue field. The shield bears a bearded fig tree flanked by two pride-of-barbados flowers, supported on the dexter by a dolphin and on the sinister by a pelican, both rendered in fine relief. A helmet and mantling appear above the shield, topped by a hand grasping two crossed sugar cane stalks. The motto scroll below reads PRIDE AND INDUSTRY. The legend BARBADOS arcs above the design, while the inscriptions 1 oz Ag 999, 2023, and 5 DOLLARS appear in the lower field. |
