Obverse description The complete arms of Fiji are depicted centrally, featuring a quartered shield supported by two Fijian warriors in traditional dress, one holding a spear and the other a war club. The shield bears the Cross of St. George with a British lion passant in the first quarter, sugar cane, a coconut palm, a dove of peace, and a banana stalk in the remaining quarters, with a British lion holding a cocoa pod on a chief. The national motto ribbon inscribed 'Rerevaka na Kalou ka Doka na Tui' appears below the shield. The legend 'FIJI' is inscribed in the upper field, with the date '2016' in the exergue. The fineness inscription '3 oz Ag 999' appears vertically in the right field.
