| Reverse description | The reverse is printed in blue-green and relies entirely on dense lathe-work guilloche patterns for its security design, without a central pictorial vignette. A series of eleven numbered interest coupons, each enclosed within its own ornamental border of intricate engine-turned work, is attached along the left margin. The overall composition is characteristic of American security printing practice of the 1880s. |
