| Reverse description | The reverse bears a full-color reproduction of a detail from Michelangelo's celebrated Sistine Chapel ceiling fresco, The Creation of Adam (c. 1512), occupying the entire rectangular surface of the planchet. The scene depicts the reclining figure of Adam in the left foreground, his muscular torso rendered in warm flesh tones as he extends his right arm toward the upper right, where the outstretched finger of God the Father approaches in the act of divine creation. The background features swirling drapery and sky in shades of blue and green, faithfully reproducing the painterly qualities of the original fresco. The color application is executed in vibrant polychrome enamel or printing technique, contrasting with the plain silver border of the rectangular coin. No inscriptions appear on the reverse field, allowing the artwork to command the full visual space. |
