Obverse description Rectangular silver flan bearing a central circular raised disc. Within the disc, the right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II is depicted in fine relief after the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait. The legend 'ELIZABETH II' arcs along the upper left, 'NIUE' appears at the top centre, and 'FIVE DOLLARS' arcs along the upper right, all separated by raised dot borders. The date '2013' is inscribed below the effigy within the disc. In the lower margin of the rectangular field, outside the disc, the inscriptions '80 g' and '999 FINE SILVER' are engraved in capital letters.

Reverse description The reverse presents a broad, highly polished rectangular field rendered in reverse proof finish, depicting a stylised interpretation of Michelangelo's 'The Creation of Adam' from the Sistine Chapel ceiling. The composition is rendered across the flat rectangular surface with subtle relief and frosted texturing to evoke the fresco's cracked and aged plaster, suggesting the appearance of a painted fresco fragment. The central imagery shows the outstretched figures of God and Adam with their nearly touching hands, faithfully adapted from the Renaissance original. This piece forms the second in a twelve-part series reproducing the complete Sistine Chapel ceiling.
