Beschrijving voorzijde The obverse features the coat of arms of the Republic of Liberia at center, depicting a three-masted sailing ship at sea, a palm tree, a rising sun, a plow, and a dove in flight, all within a shield surmounted by a scroll bearing the national motto 'THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE.' A secondary scroll at the base reads 'REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA.' The circular legend 'REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA' arcs along the upper rim, while the denomination '5 DOLLARS' appears along the lower rim. The date '2008' is divided on either side of the central shield.

Aanvullende informatie

The Type 95 Ha-Go was Japan's most widely produced light tank of the Pacific War, with roughly 2,300 units manufactured between 1936 and 1943. Designed for infantry support in Manchuria, it was already obsolete by 1941 but remained the backbone of Japanese armored operations throughout the conflict simply because nothing adequate replaced it. Liberia's habit of licensing its sovereign mint authority to produce commemorative silver for the collector market — with no meaningful connection to the subject — was well established by the mid-2000s, and this issue is squarely in that tradition.
