Additional information

Part of Singapore Mint's ongoing Orchid series, which has documented native and cultivated orchid species in silver and gold since the 1990s. The Spathoglottis, a terrestrial genus uncommon among Singapore's predominantly epiphytic orchid flora, was selected partly to broaden the series beyond the Vanda-dominated hybrids that dominate the country's horticultural identity. Mintages for individual issues in this series have historically been kept low — typically under 10,000 pieces — driving secondary market premiums well above melt.
