| Obverse description | At center, the coat of arms of Barbados is rendered in high relief, depicting a divided shield supported by a pelican and a dolphin, surmounted by a helmeted crest with a hand grasping two crossed sugar cane stalks. Beneath the shield, a scroll bears the national motto PRIDE AND INDUSTRY. The arms are set against a large eight-pointed compass rose motif whose radiating points extend across the field, overlaid with concentric ring patterns.
