Opmerkingen

Gouverneur Hôtels, a Quebec-based chain, issued this five-dollar note as an internal scrip redeemable at the Restaurant Napoléon et Pacino — a dining outlet operating under the Gouverneur brand in the early 2000s. Hotel scrip of this kind was used primarily for employee meal credits or promotional gift instruments, rarely passing through general circulation. The printing is modest, entirely in keeping with a low-volume commercial run.

Quebec hospitality scrip from this period is almost entirely undocumented in mainstream notaphilic literature, which makes provenance difficult to establish beyond the face of the note itself.
