| Obverse description | The obverse displays the coat of arms of the Republic of Palau at centre within a circular legend reading REPUBLIC OF PALAU, flanked by stylised lotus or palm fronds in high relief. Flanking the arms on either side are decorative branch motifs. Above the arms, a winged scarab beetle is depicted in relief at the upper field, accompanied by the Eye of Horus to the left and an ankh symbol to the right. The denomination 5$ appears in the lower field. The entire design is executed in antiqued silver finish. |
