| Obverse description | The central field displays the full Coat of Arms of the Republic of Liberia, featuring a shield bearing a sailing ship at sea, a palm tree, and a rising sun, supported by laurel branches and surmounted by a dove in flight. A ribbon scroll across the shield bears the national motto THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE.
