The peacock issue sits in a crowded market of large-format silver novelties, distinguished here by the crystal inlay work rather than anything specific to the bird's relationship with Nauru, which has none.
KM#142 is a privately contracted piece, almost certainly produced by B.H. Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt or a comparable European novelty mint under license rather than struck on the island itself.
