| Beschrijving voorzijde | The national coat of arms of the Republic of the Marshall Islands occupies the central field, featuring the traditional Marshallese navigational stick chart at the base, a frigate bird in flight above the horizon, a sun with radiating rays at the top, and flanking vignettes of a traditional outrigger canoe and palm-fringed islets. The arms are encircled by a decorative chain-link border. The legend REPUBLIC OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS arcs along the upper periphery, with the denomination $5 to the left and the date 1993 to the right. The Marshallese national motto JEPILPILIN KE EJUKAAN curves along the lower border, with the word SEAL inscribed on a scroll at the base of the arms. |
