| Obverse description | The obverse features the coin struck in the stylized silhouette of an angel, with outstretched feathered wings rendered in low relief and a rounded head above a flowing robe-shaped body. Decorative scrolling cloud motifs occupy the lower field. At centre, a recessed circular medallion bears the coat of arms of the Republic of Palau, depicting a traditional Palauan scene with a figure and native imagery, surrounded by the legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcing above and the motto RAINBOW'S END below.
