| Obverse description | The central field features the coat of arms of the Republic of Palau, depicting a crowned Neptune seated and holding a trident, accompanied by a mermaid, with a treasure chest and aquatic flora in the lower field, all within a ornate shield surmounted by a stylised canoe and paddler. A six-pointed star appears above the figures within the shield. Eight five-pointed stars are distributed symmetrically around the inner border.
