The Monopoly licensing agreement with Hasbro has generated dozens of coin releases across multiple mints and issuing authorities over the past two decades, with Pacific island nations — Niue, Tuvalu, Samoa — serving as the nominal issuers of record while production typically runs through private minting operations in Europe or Australia.
The "Jail" space dates to the original 1935 Darrow/Parker Brothers commercial release of the board game, itself adapted from Elizabeth Magie's 1903 Landlord's Game.
