| Obverse description | High-relief sculptural depiction of the head of Medusa rendered in antique silver finish, presented as a three-dimensional mask occupying the full face of the coin. The gorgon's visage features a serene yet haunting feminine face with parted lips and one inset red crystal eye visible, with tear-like markings on the cheek. Her flowing hair is composed of intertwining serpents rendered in darkened silver on the right side, while rose-gold plated blooming roses adorn the left side, creating a striking contrast of finishes. The irregular scalloped border of the coin is formed by the coiling bodies of snakes and clusters of roses in rose-gold plate, reinforcing the sculptural character of the piece. |

| Reverse description | Central field displays the engraved coat of arms of Barbados, featuring two seahorses as supporters flanking a shield charged with a bearded fig tree, surmounted by an arm holding two crossed sugarcane stalks, with a pelican as dexter supporter and a dolphin as sinister supporter. A scroll below bears the national motto PRIDE AND INDUSTRY. Surrounding inscriptions read BARBADOS at the top, 5 DOLLARS and Ag 999 flanking the lower field, with the weight denomination 3 oz to the left and the date 2024 at the bottom. The reverse face is finished in antique silver with the irregular sculptural border of entwined snakes and rose-gold plated roses continuing from the obverse. |
