| 背面描述 | A fully suited Apollo astronaut is depicted in left-center field, standing on the lunar surface and raising one hand in a salute, with a life-support backpack visible. To the astronaut's right stands an erect American flag planted in the lunar soil, its stars and stripes rendered in detail. The lunar landscape extends across the lower field. The curved legend FIRST MAN ON THE MOON arcs along the upper rim, while MISSION APOLLO XI appears vertically along the right field. The denomination $5 is inscribed in the lower left field. |

Liberia's late-1990s and early-2000s commemorative output was enormous in volume and narrow in numismatic credibility — dozens of foreign-themed issues struck in base metal alloys and sold almost exclusively through television shopping channels and mail-order catalogues to non-collectors. This piece belongs squarely to that category. The Liberian government licensed its minting authority extensively during this period, with the actual production contracted to private mints in the United States and Europe.
No evidence of genuine circulation in Liberia. The face value is nominal fiction.
