Issued to mark the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth, this miniature gold piece is part of a broader wave of sub-gram commemoratives that have flooded the market since the mid-2010s — produced largely by the Czech Mint on behalf of smaller sovereign issuers with no historical connection to the subject. Fiji's involvement is purely nominal; the legal tender status satisfies the commemorative coin framework, nothing more.
