Additional information

Hutt River Province — the micronation declared by Leonard Casley in 1970 after a dispute with the Western Australian government over wheat production quotas — issued a substantial range of collector coins throughout the 1980s and 1990s, most struck by private mints for the souvenir and numismatic novelty trade. This piece honoring U.S. Coast Guard support has no official recognition under Australian law, and "Prince Leonard I" held no legal standing to issue currency of any kind.

The X# prefix in the Standard Catalog places it squarely among non-circulating fantasy issues from unrecognized entities.
