| Obverse description | A stylized royal crown occupies the upper central field, rendered in fine detail with arched bands, cross and orb finial, and decorative jewelled elements. Immediately below the crown, the legend NEW QUEENSLAND MINT is inscribed in a straight horizontal band. A broad decorative panel bearing the large numeral 5 in the centre is flanked by ornamental foliate and geometric patterns. The denomination FIVE DOLLARS is inscribed along the lower portion of the panel. The curved legend HUTT RIVER PROVINCE arcs along the upper periphery. |
