Hutt River is not a nation in any recognized sense — it was an unrecognized micronation proclaimed in 1970 by Leonard Casley, a wheat farmer in Western Australia who seceded from Australia in a dispute over wheat production quotas. Coins like this one were issued as revenue-generating collectibles rather than circulating currency, sold directly to collectors and novelty buyers worldwide throughout the 1980s and 1990s.
The A-10 subject is purely commercial. Hutt River had no military, no air force, and no connection to the aircraft.
