| Additional information |
Hutt River Province — formally the Principality of Hutt River — was a self-declared micronation in Western Australia founded by Leonard Casley in 1970 after a dispute with the state government over wheat production quotas. Casley styled himself Prince Leonard I and maintained the secession claim until the province dissolved in 2020. These coins were produced as legal tender within the principality's own framework, though no external government recognized that status.
The X# prefix in the Standard Catalog denotes non-circulating or fantasy issues from entities outside recognized sovereignty — useful for cataloging purposes, not an endorsement of legitimacy.
