Hutt River Province — formally the Principality of Hutt River — was a self-declared micronation in Western Australia that seceded from the Commonwealth in 1970 under Leonard Casley, who styled himself Prince Leonard I. It issued coins and stamps for decades, none of which were legal tender anywhere with recognized authority, but all of which were sold to collectors worldwide as novelty items.
