Additional information

The Principality of Hutt River was a self-declared micronation established in Western Australia in 1970 by Leonard Casley, a wheat farmer who seceded from Australia in a dispute over wheat production quotas. It was never recognized by any sovereign government. Coins issued under its authority are novelty items with no legal tender status outside its own claimed jurisdiction — which is to say, nowhere enforceable.

Collector interest is modest and driven almost entirely by micronation curiosity rather than numismatic merit.
