| 背面描述 | Facing bust portrait of Amos Rusie, the celebrated late 19th-century American baseball pitcher, wearing a period cap and uniform, rendered in bold relief at centre. The name AMOS RUSIE arcs across the upper field as the primary legend. To the left of the portrait appears the motto IN GOD WE TRUST and the date 1993, while the numeral 5 with a small mint symbol appears to the right. The denomination FIVE DOLLARS is inscribed along the lower exergue in large letters. |

Hutt River Province declared independence from Australia in 1970 after a wheat quota dispute pushed farmer Leonard Casley to invoke an obscure constitutional provision — a move Canberra never formally accepted but, critically, never successfully reversed in court either. By the 1990s the micronation had issued its own passports, stamps, and an expanding coinage program aimed squarely at the collector market. Amos Rusie, the American baseball pitcher honored on this piece, had no discernible connection to Hutt River; his inclusion reflects the province's habit of licensing celebrity and sports subjects to broaden collector appeal.
