| Description du revers | The reverse presents a panoramic view of the Rock of Cashel, the celebrated medieval Irish ecclesiastical complex, rendered in niobium relief against the upper field, with the commemorative legend 10TH ANNIVERSARY "EURO" arching along the upper periphery. In the lower portion of the field, two selectively gilt coin effigies are depicted: at left, the Irish 1 Punt coin (KM# 27) featuring a stag, and at right, the Irish 1 Euro coin, separated by a large gilt Euro symbol. The date range 1995-2005 appears in the lower exergue, marking the anniversary period commemorated. |

Liberia's niobium commemorative program in the mid-2000s was part of a broader wave of exotic bimetallic and reactive-metal issues produced primarily for the collector market, with no meaningful domestic circulation intended. Niobium's appeal to mint programs lies in its capacity for electrochemical coloring — voltage-controlled anodization produces interference colors across the visible spectrum without dyes or inks. The "Ireland" theming placed this squarely in a series targeting diaspora collectors and thematic accumulators rather than any official Irish issuing relationship.
