Reverse description Within a recessed incuse field, a perched bald eagle stands in profile facing left upon a bundle of arrows and an olive branch, rendered in low relief. The national motto IN GOD WE TRUST is positioned to the left of the eagle, and E PLURIBUS UNUM to the right, with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA arcing along the upper periphery. The mintmark, when present, appears to the left of the eagle.
