Obverse description The complete coat of arms of Guyana occupies the central field, featuring a shield divided into compartments and supported by two jaguars rampant, one on each side; above the shield rises a crest composed of an Amerindian headdress. A ribbon scroll beneath the supporters bears the national motto ONE PEOPLE ONE NATION ONE DESTINY in the legend. The circular legend OUR PEOPLE OUR MOST PRECIOUS ASSET is inscribed around the upper periphery, while BANK OF GUYANA and the date appear in the lower field.
