Beschrijving keerzijde Central device features a large, stylized sugar maple leaf (Acer saccharum) rendered in a striking geometric, faceted design composed of multiple triangular planes, creating a three-dimensional low-polygon sculptural effect. The leaf dominates the field and is presented in high relief. The legend CANADA arcs across the upper portion of the coin, while the lower field carries the inscriptions FINE GOLD 1/10 OZ OR PUR and 9999, confirming the metal's purity. The date 2023 appears to the right of the leaf, and the Royal Canadian Mint's CM privy mark is situated in the lower right field.

Aanvullende informatie

The GML — Gold Maple Leaf — fractional series exists largely because the Royal Canadian Mint spent decades building an unmatched reputation for fine gold purity, first achieved at .999 with the original 1979 Maple Leaf and pushed to .9999 by 1982. The one-tenth ounce denomination entered the program to capture investors priced out of the full ounce, and it has remained a workhorse of the fractional bullion market ever since. This 2023 piece is also among the final issues to carry Elizabeth II's effigy following her death in September 2022; RCM transitioned to Charles III portraiture in subsequent releases.
