| 背面描述 | The reverse depicts three military figures in uniform standing together in the central field, rendered in relief against a background bearing multiple names of individuals who served. An American flag is visible to the left of the figures. Stars are scattered in the left field. The upper peripheral legend reads 'IN HONOR OF THOSE WHO SERVED', and the denomination 'FIVE DOLLARS' is inscribed along the lower rim within a curved banner beneath the figures. |

Liberia's Central Bank produced a prolonged series of commemorative five-dollar pieces through the late 1990s and early 2000s, many struck by foreign mints — primarily in Germany and China — rather than on Liberian soil. The country had no functioning domestic mint and was simultaneously recovering from the First Liberian Civil War, which ended in 1997 only to give way to renewed conflict by 1999.
KM# 706 falls squarely within this collector-market period, when the Central Bank licensed its name to dozens of thematic issues with limited connection to Liberian monetary circulation.
