The Holy Year 2000 was a prolific subject across dozens of issuing authorities worldwide, and Liberia contributed multiple pieces to that flood.
John Paul II had declared the 2000 Jubilee the Great Jubilee, the most significant in the Church's modern calendar, drawing an estimated 25 million pilgrims to Rome that year.
