Aurelio, working under the BanknoteDesigns imprint, produces high-quality intaglio-style pieces through Gammaprint in Luzern, a Swiss security printer with legitimate commercial credentials. The "Silver Certificate" framing borrows deliberately from the U.S. Treasury series retired in 1964, applying that idiom to a jurisdiction — Hawaii — that was a U.S. territory until 1959 and never issued its own currency independently.

The one genuine historical hook: Hawaii did receive a distinct wartime overprint on U.S. Federal Reserve Notes in 1942, making "Hawaiian paper money" a real numismatic category. Aurelio is clearly working in that shadow.
