| Obverse description | The obverse displays the coat of arms of the Republic of Palau centrally positioned within a decorative shield, depicting a traditional outrigger canoe above a sea god holding a trident, accompanied by a mermaid, with waves, treasure chest, and a crescent moon in the field. The shield is flanked by floral and figural supporters and inscribed with the motto RAINBOW'S END in the lower portion. Eight five-pointed stars are arranged in a semicircle around the left and right periphery of the field.
