Bradbury Wilkinson printed this series for multiple British Caribbean territories simultaneously, often sharing plate geometry and border elements across denominations and colonies — a colonial efficiency that makes individual attribution tricky without examining the text closely. Barbados's wartime note issues were tightly controlled, with the Colonial Secretary's Office in Bridgetown managing distribution to prevent hoarding as the war disrupted shipping and trade across the Atlantic.
Pick 4 is among the scarcer survivors of the series. Wartime humidity in Barbados was punishing on paper, and notes that circulated heavily rarely survived intact.
