Aanvullende informatie

Struck twenty-three years after Apollo 11, this Bahamian commemorative belongs to a wave of silver issues produced by Commonwealth nations in the early 1990s capitalizing on anniversary demand. The Bahamas had no direct connection to the mission — the coins were almost certainly contract-struck for revenue rather than any particular national commemorative purpose, a common arrangement through the Perth or Royal Mint on behalf of smaller sovereignties.
