| Descrizione del dritto |
The moon-side hemisphere of this three-dimensional spherical coin features an elaborately pierced filigree field populated with zodiacal and mythological figures in high relief, including a winged horse (Pegasus), a scorpion, and various celestial creatures, all rendered against a gold-toned inner surface visible through the openwork lattice. At left, a serene crescent moon rendered as a human face in profile gazes inward, its eyes closed in repose. At the centre, a raised medallion bears the Samoan coat of arms — a shield charged with the Southern Cross and a coconut palm, supported by a laurel wreath and surmounted by a cross — surrounded by the legend SAMOA 2024 above and FA'AVAE I LE ATUA SAMOA below, flanked by the inscriptions 2 oz and Ag 999. The denomination 5 DOLLARS appears in the lower field of the central medallion. |

| Descrizione del rovescio |
The sun-side hemisphere of this three-dimensional spherical coin is entirely gold-plated, presenting a radiant anthropomorphic sun in high relief at the centre, its broadly smiling face framed by deeply sculpted alternating long and short rays that extend to the periphery of the sphere. The surrounding filigree field is pierced in an intricate openwork design populated with small mythological and celestial figures visible between the radiating rays, echoing the reverse's cosmic theme. The entire surface is finished in a warm, lustrous gold tone, creating a striking visual contrast with the antique silver moon hemisphere. The cardinal directions N, E, S, W are inscribed at the equatorial band of the sphere. |
